An Indonesia eVisa allows you to enter Indonesia through designated international airports, seaports (including cruise terminals and Singapore/Malaysia ferry ports), and authorized land borders operated by the Directorate General of Immigration.

Land Border Entry Points
Designated land border checkpoints (Pos Lintas Batas Negara - PLBN) for overland travel include:
- Entikong, Aruk, and Badau (West Kalimantan — bordering Sarawak, Malaysia)
- Motaain, Motamasin, and Wini (East Nusa Tenggara — bordering Timor-Leste)
- Skouw (Papua — bordering Papua New Guinea)
Always verify that your specific overland checkpoint is open for eVisa clearance before traveling by road.
Port Rules for Multi-Stop Trips & Cruises
- First port of entry: Your eVisa is validated at the first Indonesian airport or seaport where you clear immigration.
- Domestic flights and consecutive Indonesian ports: Once you clear immigration at your first entry port (for example, Jakarta CGK or Bali DPS, or your first Indonesian cruise port), moving between Indonesian islands without leaving Indonesian territory counts as part of the same single entry.
- Exiting and re-entering Indonesia: Standard 30-day ($70 govt fee) and 60-day ($130 govt fee) Tourist eVisas are single-entry. If you fly out to Singapore, Malaysia, or Timor-Leste and return to Indonesia later, you will need a new eVisa for the second entry.
Arrival Requirements at Indonesian Checkpoints
Have these items ready before you reach the immigration desk or Autogate:
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date, matching the passport number on your eVisa.
- Printed Indonesia eVisa PDF: Plus an offline copy saved on your phone.
- Return or onward ticket: Showing departure from Indonesia within your 30-day or 60-day stay.
- Electronic customs declaration (ECD) & Bali tourist levy (if visiting Bali): Can be completed shortly before departure.

Can I enter Indonesia at a different airport than the one I originally planned? If your itinerary changes between designated Indonesia eVisa airports (for example, flying into Jakarta CGK instead of Bali DPS), approved Indonesia eVisas are generally valid across designated international eVisa entry points. Still, keep your updated flight ticket ready at border control.
Can I enter Bali by air and leave Indonesia from Jakarta or Batam by ferry? Yes. You can enter through one designated eVisa checkpoint (such as Bali DPS Airport) and depart from another authorized international checkpoint (such as Jakarta CGK Airport or a Batam ferry terminal).
